Deputy-Involved Shooting Occurs After Suspect Flees Traffic Stop, Runs Over Deputy’s Foot

Westmont, Los Angeles County, CA: The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was initiating a traffic stop when the suspect vehicle took off, running over the foot of one of the sheriff’s deputies.

Another deputy at the scene shot at the suspect vehicle, however, the vehicle sped away.

The deputy-involved shooting occurred around 2:50 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 8, on Manchester and 87th Street in the Westmont community within Los Angeles County.

The deputy was transported a local hospital.
