Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA: An officer was injured Tuesday when Los Angeles Police Department responded to Hollywood High School’s signal for help to escort an aggressive transient from the campus.

LAPD patrol units were driving around the area of Sunset Boulevard and Orange in the Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles around 2:50 p.m. when the principal of Hollywood High School signaled for help.
An aggressive transient made his way onto the high school campus where the dean and principal, along with security guards, tried to escort him out. When LAPD officers assisted, the man became violent. One officer was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with unknown injuries.
The suspect was transported to jail wearing a spit mask. LAPD is investigating the incident.
