Alleged Theft Suspects Caught on 10 Freeway with Stolen Property, Catalytic Converters

Pomona, Los Angeles County, CA: A robbery victim had stolen property recovered after he reported the incident and location of the suspect vehicle to 911 early Thursday morning.

CHP received a 911 call around 1:15 a.m. Thursday, Apr. 20, from a victim who was following suspects that had just allegedly robbed him at gunpoint in the Hacienda Heights area.

The victim was following the suspects northbound on the 57 Freeway from the 60 Freeway in the Diamond Bar area.

CHP caught up to the suspect vehicle that had turned around and started traveling westbound on the 10 Freeway from White Avenue in the city of Pomona.

The vehicle ran out of gas on the westbound 10 Freeway just before the Dudley Street exit.

CHP took three suspects into custody at the location and recovered the stolen property which was returned to the victim.

Officers also recovered two stolen catalytic converters in the trunk of the suspects’ vehicle.

It is unknown at this time if CHP recovered a firearm.
