Lancaster, Los Angeles County, CA: A driver was left trapped after a hit-and-run collision at an intersection in the city of Lancaster Thursday night.

At approximately 8:52 p.m., Apr. 20, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to a hit-and-run traffic collision at the intersection of Lancaster Boulevard and 5th Street East.
Upon arrival, Lancaster deputies discovered a Chevy Cruz with severe body damage and the driver trapped inside.
Firefighters from Los Angeles County Fire Station 33 responded to the scene and freed the driver using the Jaws of Life.
The driver chose a private ride to the hospital instead of transport by ambulance.
The other vehicle is described as a white truck with a camper top.
Circumstances surrounding the collision are still under investigation. No further details are available at this time.
