Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, CA: Multiple homes were showered with gushing water from a sheared hydrant overnight, along with a muddy debris flow impacting one home.
A broken water main was initially reported just after 1:00 a.m., May 9, in the area of the 3900 block on North Woodcliff Road in Sherman Oaks, however, when the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the location, they found a sheared hydrant that was forcefully spraying water onto multiple homes.
One house was impacted by muddy debris flowing through the backyard and into the home.
The L.A. Department of Water and Power responded to the location to shut off the gushing hydrant.
