Water Main Break Sends Water Flowing Curbside in West Hollywood

West Hollywood, Los Angeles County, CA: Water percolated from multiple holes in a street in West Hollywood late Thursday night prompting a response from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

The Los Angeles Fire Department received a call just after 11:00 p.m., May 11, regarding a water main break on the 300 block of La Cienega Boulevard in front of Synn Gentlemen’s Club in the city of West Hollywood.

Witnesses at the location told Key News Network that here was a vehicle parked on the side of the street when they noticed a lot of water coming from underneath the vehicle. Once the vehicle moved, witnesses noticed water coming up from the ground through multiple holes.

LAFD dispatch contacted the LADWP to respond to the location. It is unknown how long DWP crews worked to control the flow of water.
