Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision in North Hollywood

North Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA: A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle that fled the scene late Friday night in North Hollywood.

The fatal hit-and-run collision occurred at approximately 11:14 p.m., May 12, on the 11000 block of West Vanowen Street.

The Los Angeles City Fire Department and Los Angeles police officers responded to the location. Arriving firefighters found one person not conscious and not breathing in the roadway. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.

LAPD officers did not find any vehicle involved in the fatal collision with the pedestrian.

LAPD Valley Traffic Division is investigating.
