Male Found Shot in Van Nuys, Possibly Robbery Related

Van Nuys, Los Angeles, CA: A male was reported shot early Thursday morning in the Van Nuys neighborhood within the San Fernando Valley.

Los Angeles police officers responded to reports for a man shot at Van Nuys Boulevard and Archwood Street around 12:20 a.m., May 25, where arriving units found one male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm.

Information gathered from the Los Angeles Police Department at the scene indicated that the incident may be related to a robbery.

The victim stated that the shooting occurred at Wyandotte and Sepulveda and that he drove to the location on Archwood.

The 35-year-old male victim was driving and observed an unknown vehicle traveling west on Sepulveda towards him. Two male Black suspects, around 30 years old, yelled out the window at the victim and then fired a shot, striking the victim, according to the LAPD.

The LAPD said the suspects fled in an unknown direction.

The patient was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics to a local hospital in stable condition.

It is unknown if this incident is gang related, according to the LAPD.

The LAPD is investigating the shooting.
