Suspicious Death of Toddler Under Investigation

Bakersfield, Kern County, CA: A toddler’s suspicious death late Monday night is under investigation by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a medical emergency involving a 3-year-old toddler just after 11:00 p.m., June 5, in the area of the 9000 block of Sentido Drive in the city of Bakersfield, according to KCSO.

When deputies arrived along with the Kern County Fire Department and HALL Ambulance, they located a juvenile unresponsive and not breathing, reported KCSO. The child was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officers set up crime scene tape and blocked off the area.

Kern County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives responded and the investigation is ongoing.
