1 Killed, 1 Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash Into Traffic Signal

EL SERENO, LOS ANGELES, June 11 (KNN) – A passenger of a vehicle involved in a single-vehicle crash died at the scene early Sunday morning.

A Los Angeles Police Department Hollenbeck Division unit rolled up on a single-vehicle crash into a traffic signal just before 1:30 a.m. on Huntington Drive at Maycrest Avenue in the El Sereno neighborhood within Eastside Los Angeles.

Officers reported two victims inside the vehicle – one was not conscious and not breathing.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital in unknown condition by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.

The passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene.

LAPD Central Traffic Division is handling.
