Traffic Collision Involving Vehicle Into Canal Leaves 1 Dead

BAKERSFIELD, CA, June 20 (KNN) – A fatal two-vehicle traffic collision sent one vehicle plunging into a canal early Tuesday morning.

Just before 12:30 a.m., a traffic collision was reported with one vehicle into the canal in the area of South H and Berkshire Road in Bakersfield.

One victim was rescued from the vehicle in the canal and first responders immediately preformed CPR attempting to save the patient’s life. However, life-saving measures were unsuccessful and the victim succumbed to crash injuries.

The Bakersfield Police Department responded to investigate the cause of the collision.

The driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene and was cooperating with Bakersfield police officers.
