Pursuit Suspect Vehicle Crashes Into Carport

GREEN MEADOWS, LOS ANGELES, June 22 (KNN) – Two suspects escaped police custody after fleeing from Gardena police officers in a vehicle pursuit early Thursday morning.

Gardena PD initiated pursuit of a possible stolen vehicle shortly around 1:15 a.m. The suspects were fleeing in a black Kia sedan.

At one point, police lost visual of the suspect vehicle and cancelled the pursuit before discovering the vehicle had collided into a fence at the 105 Freeway eastbound entrance from Central Avenue.

Two suspects reportedly exited the vehicle prior to the arrival of police officers and fled on foot onto the freeway.

California Highway Patrol, the Los Angeles Police Department and sheriff’s deputies attempted to locate the two outstanding subjects, however, they were unsuccessful.

The vehicle had crashed into at least two vehicles parked underneath an apartment building, narrowly avoiding colliding into a lower level bedroom. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the crash.
