Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Train in Pomona

POMONA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, June 22 (KNN) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train Thursday night in the city of Pomona.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department and Pomona police officers responded to an incident involving a train that struck a pedestrian around 10:28 p.m., just south of 3100 Pomona Boulevard, between the 57 Freeway and Temple Avenue.

A body was located between two trains and pronounced deceased at the scene by firefighters and paramedics.

It is currently unknown if Pomona PD will be handling the investigation or if Union Pacific Police will be taking over the scene.
