Newborn Abandoned Immediately After Birth in Loading Dock of Bakery

VENTURA, CA, June 23 (KNN) – Police are searching for the female who gave birth and abandoned her baby in a loading dock area of a business early Friday morning.

Ventura police officers and city fire departments responded to a call just before 1 a.m. regarding a female who had just given birth on the 4200 block of Transport Street in Ventura.

First responders arrived and located the newborn in the loading dock of the bakery at the address.

The newborn was promptly loaded into an ambulance and transported to the hospital.

Workers from the bakery stated off-camera that they saw a female giving birth to the infant and then proceeded to leave the area.

The Ventura Police Department is searching for the female.
