CHP Patrol Vehicle Struck by Car While Stopped for Freeway Incident

BURBANK, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, June 24 (KNN) – A California Highway Patrol Altadena unit was on scene of a multi-vehicle crash on the southbound 5 Freeway in Burbank when their patrol vehicle was struck by another vehicle at approximately 4:43 a.m. Saturday.

The driver of the car that collided with the patrol vehicle, was transported to a nearby hospital in unknown condition, according to initial information at the time of the incident.

At least one other party involved with the prior crash was also transported to a hospital.

No officers were reported injured.

The southbound 5 Freeway was closed at Verdugo at the time of the incident.

There are no further details available.
