CHATSWORTH, LOS ANGELES, June 26 (KNN) — Los Angeles police officers were in pursuit of a large dog early Monday morning wandering the streets in the San Fernando Valley neighborhood of Chatsworth.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Devonshire Division received a call at approximately 2:30 a.m. for a traffic hazard at the intersection of Tampa and Chatsworth involving a large dog wandering the streets.
Multiple LAPD units responded to the area and located the dog. Officers were seen chasing the dog with police cars and running on foot trying to catch the dog.
Officers also tried to lure the dog into a leash by providing dog treats, food and water.
One officer was seen with an animal catch pole. The officers were unsuccessful in their 45 minute pursuit of the dog.
The dog was still roaming the streets as of 3:20 a.m. Monday morning.
