Procession Held to Coroner’s Office for Sheriff’s Deceased Employee

POMONA, CA, June 26 (KNN) — A procession was held late Monday night for a deceased employee of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department with a line of law enforcement vehicles making their way to the coroner’s office.

The deceased employee was transported from Pomona Valley Hospital on the 1700 block of North Garey Avenue in Pomona at approximately 11 p.m. to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s office at 175 South Lena Road. The employee had initially arrived at the hospital on Sunday for an unknown reason.

Multiple sheriff’s deputies from Central and Compton divisions were at the hospital as well as a couple of other agencies at the procession.

Key News Network contacted the LASD for more details regarding the incident. The only information as of Tuesday, was that the deceased was an “employee” of the department. No further details were available.
