DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, June 27 (KNN) — A wounded man was allegedly shot with a rifle early Tuesday morning at a luxury apartment building in Downtown Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central units responded to a call of a shooting victim just after 4 a.m. in the parking structure of the Josephine DTLA luxury apartments on the 800 block of South Hope Street.
When officers arrived on scene, they located a male victim in the lobby stating he had been shot by someone armed with an assault rifle.
According to Officer Drake Madison with LAPD Media Relations, the 34-year-old male victim was sitting in his vehicle when a male suspect in dark clothing approached the victim, shot him, then fled in a dark color sedan.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and is in stable condition, reported Officer Madison.
Officers located .556 shell casings where the incident occurred.
