Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Downtown Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, June 30 (KNN) — A female pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle early Friday morning in the downtown area of Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division units responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision just after 12:30 a.m. in the 900 block of South Alameda Street.

Emergency personnel found a female lying in the roadway at the intersection of Alameda and 14th Street. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The vehicle involved in the collision appears to be a Metro utility truck.

The driver of the truck remained on scene and cooperated with police.
