The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station received a 911 call shortly before 9 a.m. of a disturbance on the 4100 block of Walnut Grove Avenue in the city of Rosemead.

As the deputies were responding to the call, the incident was upgraded to an assault with a deadly weapon and possible stabbing, said Lt. Hugo Reynaga with the LASD Homicide Bureau at the scene interviewed by Key News Network.

When deputies arrived, they detained four to five people at the condo and noticed one individual had stab wounds, according to Reynaga.

Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics transported the male to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased, Reynaga said.

Three of the roommates that lived with the victim have been detained only for questioning at this time, said Reynaga. There is no suspect outstanding from this incident.

Investigators are in the process of interviewing those present to figure out exactly what happened.
