Firefighters Work to Contain Canyon Country Brush Fire

CANYON COUNTRY, SANTA CLARITA, CA, July 5 (KNN) — The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a three-acre brush fire at approximately 2:33 a.m. Wednesday at Soledad Canyon off the 14 Freeway in Canyon Country.

Access was challenging for hand crew firefighters. Water dropping helicopters were assisting to try and knock down the flames.

The fire was moving at a slow rate of spread with light winds.

There is no further progress reports at this time.
