Brush Fire Erupts Near Hillside Homes in Rowland Heights

ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CA, July 6 (KNN) — A hilside brush fire erupted late Thursday night near homes in the Rowland Heights community within Los Angeles County.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies responded to a brushfire shortly after 11 p.m. in the hillside on the 18500 block of East Vantage Pointe Drive. The fire started near homes along the hillside.

Firefighters extinguished the flames of the approximately one to two-acre brush fire within 45 minutes to an hour of receiving the call of the fire.

It is unknown at this time how the fire started or if it was fireworks related.
