Firefighters Battle Blazing Bakersfield Structure Fire

BAKERSFIELD, CA, July 6 (KNN) — The Bakersfield Fire Department extinguished a blazing structure fire Thursday evening in the city of Bakersfield.

Fire department personnel were dispatched shortly before 5:30 p.m. for the reported fire on the 2100 block of 23rd Street.

Fire crews arrived to fnd a rapidly spreading fire extending to the house next door. The fire was upgraded to Second Alarm status.

The flames were ultimately contained and extinguished.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
