The Dry Fire broke out in a difficult to reach area between the 33100 block of Lake Hughes Road and the upper lake.

Los Angeles County Fire Department and Angeles National Forest ground crews worked to make access in the rugged terrain as air assists made a series of 1,000 to 3,200 gallon water drops drafted from the neighboring lake.

The fire was held to about 28 acres. Crews are continuing to fight the blaze.
