Shooting of Teen in Santa Clarita Under Investigation

SANTA CLARITA, CA, July 16 (KNN) — A teen was rushed to a hospital following a shooting near a Santa Clarita In-N-Out restaurant early Sunday morning.

The shooting took place at some point before 2 a.m. near Sand Canyon Road and State Route 14 in Santa Clarita’s Canyon Country community, according to a witness at the scene.

The wounded teen was loaded into a Honda Accord driven by another teen with hopes of reaching a trauma center.

The car was intercepted by deputies on Soledad Canyon Road, west of Commuter Way. The teen was then loaded into an ambulance and rushed to a trauma center in unknown condition.

The shooting remains under investigation by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
