Solo Vehicle Fiery Crash Off 14 Freeway Sparks Brush Fire

ACTON, CA, July 16 (KNN) — A solo vehicle fiery crash over the side of the 14 Freeway ignited nearby brush prompting calls to authorities Sunday night.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:44 p.m. on the northbound 14 Freeway at Agua Dulce in the Acton area of Los Angeles County.

California Highway Patrol officers and Los Angeles County firefighters responded to reports of a car that had crashed over the side of the freeway and started brush on fire.

Firefighters arrived to find the vehicle with burning brush along with dented, twisted guardrail impacted by the crash.

Firefighters knocked down about two acres of brush that extended from the car fire.

It is currently not known if any injuries were sustained by the occupant(s) inside the crashed vehicle.

CHP is handling the crash investigation.
