Woman Found in Brush Off 14 Freeway in Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA, CA, July 23 (KNN) — A 911 caller reported a woman found laying in darkness on the side of the SR-14 Freeway on-ramp shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Units from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and the California Highway Patrol joined firefighters, paramedics and EMTs on the on-ramp to SR-14 at Newhall Avenue.

The woman was found with significant injuries and was believed by law enforcement to have been possibly thrown out of a moving vehicle.

She was rushed to a trauma center in unknown condition.

The incident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol’s Newhall Office, but no details about a possible vehicle or how the woman ended up in heavy brush on the side of the road were publicly available.
