Man Dodges Cars, Attacks Vehicles on Street in Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA, CA, July 23 (KNN) — A man seen running in and out of traffic and attacking vehicles on a Santa Clarita street was reported to 911 operators by several callers Sunday afternoon.

The situation began at approximately 1:21 p.m. on Lyons Avenue near Fourl Road, east of Wiley Canyon Road in Santa Clarita.

The male, described as a transient wearing a T-shirt and shorts with dark blonde hair, was darting into traffic and yelling at passing vehicles.

All vehicles were able to avoid him — including the Key News Network video journalist of this report.

At one point, the man attempted to take the KNN journalist’s side view mirror as he intentionally ran toward the vehicle and punched it. The man was also captured on video lying in the roadway.

Deputies arrived and took the man into custody on Everett Drive, south of Lyons Avenue.

Drug paraphernalia was found in his pockets.

This man was identified by witnesses as the same person seen chasing people, including small children on bicycles at Old Orchard Park last week.
