Sheriff’s Vehicle Crashes at Station, 2 Deputies Transported to Hospital

WESTMONT, CA, July 24 (KNN) — California Highway Patrol West Los Angeles units responded to the South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department station for a deputy who had crashed their patrol vehicle into a pole.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:38 a.m. Monday in the sheriff’s station parking lot in the 1300 block of West Imperial Highway in Westmont. Two deputies were transported to the hospital in unknown conditions following the collision.

The impact of the crash deployed the vehicle’s air bags as seen in KNN video from the scene. The speed at which the patrol vehicle was traveling is unknown at this time as well as the cause of the crash.
