Police Pursuit of Stolen Vehicle Ends in Traffic Collision, 2 Injured

LAKE BALBOA, LOS ANGELES, July 24 (KNN) — A short police pursuit ended with two suspects injured after crashing the vehicle into a gate at an apartment complex in the San Fernando Valley.

The Los Angeles Police Department was engaged in a pursuit of a stolen vehicle that took place around 10 p.m. Monday, lasting for a brief period of less than two minutes.

The pursuit concluded in a crash when the driver of the stolen vehicle collided with the parking gate of an apartment complex at Densmore and Vanowen Street in the Lake Balboa neighborhood.

Both the driver and passenger of the stolen vehicle were immediately transported to a local hospital, but their conditions remain unknown at this time.

The LAPD has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the pursuit.

In response to the incident, authorities had blocked off Vanowen Street in both directions to secure the crash site and facilitate the ongoing investigation.
