Suspect Rams 2 Patrol Vehicles During Pursuit

POMONA, CA, July 27 (KNN) — Two police vehicles were rammed by a suspect during a pursuit early Thursday morning.

Pomona police officers with California Highway Patrol assisting, were in pursuit of a possible armed suspect around 1:40 a.m. in the area of North Garey Avenue and West Grove Street in the city of Pomona.

During the pursuit, the suspect rammed two Pomona patrol cars before crashing into a parked vehicle. The suspect then fled on foot into an apartment unit.

After about an hour, the suspect was taken into custody by Pomona police officers and the CHP.

No officers or civilians were injured during the incident. Pomona PD will ultimately take custody of the suspect.
