Suspect Fires Shots During Robbery Attempt in Jefferson Park

JEFFERSON PARK, LOS ANGELES, July 28 (KNN) — A suspect fired shots during an attempted robbery of a victim early Friday morning in the Jefferson Park neighborhood within South Los Angeles.

LAPD Southwest units responded to reports of shots fired in the 3000 block of 9th Avenue at approximately 3:45 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

While en route, officers were advised the shots fired occurred during a robbery attempt.

The victim stated a male approached him and demanded his gold chain and when he refused, the suspect fired several shots at some point.

The victim was not injured.

The LAPD has confirmed the suspect is still outstanding.
