BAKERSFIELD, CA, Aug. 2 (KNN) — A shooting occurred leaving one victim wounded Wednesday evening on the 2700 block of Ming Avenue in the city of Bakersfield.
Bakersfield police officers responded to a call of a shooting around 8:10 p.m. at the location of the Valley Plaza Mall where arriving officers found a victim suffering from major injuries.
The shooting appeared to have occurred outside the mall where officers were seen blocking the area off with “police line” tape.
Paramedics responded to the scene and prepared the patient for transport by ambulance to a local hospital.
Multiple Bakersfield police officers were observed on scene for the investigation.
No further details were immediately available.
