Beverly Grove, Los Angeles, CA: The victim of an attempted home invasion sent his would-be attackers running after shooting at the suspects Wednesday morning. The attempt occurred just before 1:22 a.m., Mar. 30, in the 8600 block of Burton Way in the Beverly Grove neighborhood of Mid-City Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Police Department Wilshire Division officers responded to the location after reports of a homeowner who shot at home invasion suspects in an apartment. The suspects entered the apartment building and attempted to make entry into the victim’s unit when the victim fired at the suspects.
It is not known how the suspects gained entrance to the building. The suspects were described as two unknown males wearing masks with unknown type weapons. It is also not known at this time if the suspects were struck by gunfire.
LAPD Wilshire Division officers asked local hospitals to report information to them involving victims of gunshot wounds. Per a witness on the street at the time, the suspects were last seen fleeing the location in a white Chevy Impala.
