SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Aug. 4 (KNN) — Multiple victims were found shot late Thursday night in the Vermont Vista neighborhood within South Los Angeles.

A Los Angeles Police Department Southeast Division sergeant was in the area of a park in the 8800 block of South Hoover Street when he reported hearing shots fired and requested backup shortly after 11 p.m.
Officers initially found a male down with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Shortly after, additional Los Angeles Fire Department ambulances were requested for two additional victims.
Three victims were transported from the scene by firefighter/paramedics to a local hospital. A fourth victim self-transported, according to Officer Cervantes with the LAPD Media Relations Division.
One male victim is in critical but stable condition; two males and one female are all in stable condition, according to Cervantes.
The suspect(s) fled the location in a vehicle.
The incident is gang related, according to the LAPD.
