Serial Burglars Target 8 More Businesses in Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA, CA, Aug. 9 (KNN) — Serial burglars shattered glass windows and doors of at least eight Santa Clarita businesses overnight.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to two separate shopping centers to eight or more identical reports of triggered burglary alarms between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. Wednesday on the 19300 block of Soledad Canyon Road and 26800 block of The Old Road.

On the city’s west side, units found burglars had shattered glass at the businesses throughout the entire building including Panda Express, Sports Clips, Robeks and Starbucks.

On the east side, units found the same at businesses across the shopping center including Little Caesar’s Pizza, See’s Candy, Bonsai Garden Sushi Bar, and Carriage Trade dry cleaners.

These burglaries come as the city grapples with serial burglars shattering glass at dozens of businesses over the last month.

The latest incidents are also under investigation.
