LONG BEACH, CA, Aug. 9 (KNN) — Two females were extricated from an Acura sedan after slamming into a traffic light pole early Wednesday morning in Long Beach.
Long Beach police officers and fire department personnel responded to East 2nd Street and Livingston Drive shortly after 1 a.m. regarding a solo vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, they located two females, both conscious and breathing, unable to exit their vehicle due to the severity of the damage sustained.
A truck company responded with the Jaws of Life to free the driver and passenger from the vehicle. It took firefighters about 20 minutes to extricate both patients from the vehicle.
Both were transported to local trauma centers in unknown conditions. It is not known at this time if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash.
