FAIRFAX, LOS ANGELES, Aug. 10 (KNN) — Firefighters battled a structure blaze early Thursday morning around 3:14 a.m. in the Fairfax neighborhood within Central Los Angeles.
At one point during the firefight, the roof of the burning building was evacuated as flames surrounded the firefighters. The Los Angeles Fire Department reported heavy fire consumed the attic of the structure.
The LAFD said it took 35 firefighters just 31 minutes to access, confine and fully extinguish fire in a one-story residential duplex on the 600 block of North Gardner Street.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
