Alleged Burglar in Custody After Home Invasion in Cheviot Hills

CHEVIOT HILLS, LOS ANGELES, Aug. 28 (KNN) — An alleged burglar was taken into custody by police at a reported home invasion location early Wednesday morning.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Los Angeles Division responded to a residential “hot prowl” call in the 10500 block of Northvale Road in Cheviot Hills shortly after 12 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers apprehended one of the suspects associated with a silver Toyota pickup truck.

According to Officer Lee, a spokesperson for the LAPD, the suspect entered the home while the family was sleeping. Lee told Key News Network there were possibly two suspects.

According to initial information at the scene, the second suspected burglar, possibly the getaway driver, fled the scene and was not located.

It is unclear which residence on the block was targeted by the suspects.

There are no further details at this time.
