Ambulance Overturns in Freeway Collision, 2 Injured

COVINA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, June 15 (KNN) — A CARE Ambulance was involved in a collision with another vehicle on the 10 Freeway early Thursday morning leaving both occupants inside the ambulance injured.

California Highway Patrol officers and the Los Angeles County Fire Department received a call for a traffic collision involving a CARE Ambulance around 12:12 a.m. on the eastbound 10 Freeway at Holt Avenue in Covina.

Arriving units reported one vehicle on the right side of the freeway and one ambulance on its side.

The ambulance was not transporting any patients at the time of the crash, however, both the driver and passenger of the CARE Ambulance were transported to a local hospital.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the collison was not injured.

The cause of crash is still under investigating by Baldwin Park CHP.
