ANGELES CREST, ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST, Calif., Oct. 17 (KNN) — Foggy conditions wreaked havoc on the roadways in the Angeles National Forest late Wednesday evening, resulting in multiple traffic collisions and injuries.
Los Angeles County Fire Department crews responded to a reported traffic collision on Angeles Crest Highway around 9:30 p.m. The initial collision occurred near mile marker 29 and involved a vehicle fire. One patient was transported to a medical facility for further evaluation and treatment.
Subsequently, a second traffic collision was reported at mile marker 32. In response, the fire department requested an additional ambulance to assist at this location.
Visibility in the affected area was approximately 100 feet, contributing to hazardous driving conditions.
The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating all incidents related to this event.
