Armed Barricaded Man in Reseda Taken Into Custody by Authorities

RESEDA, LOS ANGELES, June 22 (KNN) — An armed man barricaded inside an apartment complex in Reseda Friday night, was taken into custody after a response by the Los Angeles Police Department’s SWAT team.

LAPD officers responded to a call shortly after 7:30 p.m. of a man with a possible firearm in the 6600 block of Wilbur Avenue within an apartment complex, according to police officers on scene.

The suspect was barricaded for several hours until LAPD’s SWAT team arrived and had taken the suspect into custody after verbal commands for the suspect to exit the residence.

A resident of the apartment complex spoke with KNN at the location and said she had heard the armed man tell the officers to come inside, “come with me.”

Officer Madison, spokesperson for the LAPD, told KNN that the suspect was placed into custody around 12:14 a.m. Saturday without incident. No one was injured.
