Armed Man Barricades in Pickup Truck at WinCo Foods

Lancaster, Los Angeles County, CA: Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lancaster Station deputies responded to a call for service regarding a man with a gun at WinCo foods market around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Mar. 1.

Upon arrival, deputies located a male inside a gold colored pickup truck armed with a handgun.

Deputies issued several verbal commands. However, the suspect ignored all of them. The bearcat and SEB were called to respond.

Upon their arrival, more verbal commands were given, and the suspect eventually surrendered.

It is unknown at this time why the subject had a gun, and why he barricaded himself in his vehicle.
