At Least 2 Injured in Santa Clarita Multi-Vehicle Traffic Collision

SANTA CLARITA, Calif., Apr. 24 (KNN) — A traffic collision involving three vehicles left at least two people injured Tuesday evening in Santa Clarita.

The collision occurred around 7:40 p.m. at the intersection Centre Pointe Parkway and Golden Valley Road.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department and Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene of the traffic collision and found a Mazda SUV, a Tesla sedan and a Kia K5 sedan, all with collision damage.

Two vehicles sustained major damage and one with minimal damage to the front passenger door. The driver of the Kia was briefly trapped and was freed by firefighters using the Jaws of Life.

According to initial information from the scene, two people were transported by ambulance to a local hospital in moderate condition – the driver from the Mazda and the other from the Kia. One other driver declined transport to a hospital.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
