The Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatch received a 911 call around 1:18 a.m. regarding a homeowner reporting their house was on fire on the 11400 block of East 206th Street.

When firefighters arrived, they located a single-family home with light smoke showing. As firefighters investigated, the smoke progressively became heavier.

Thick black smoke was observed billowing out from the roof through holes cut by fire officials, with large flames seen at one point.

Firefighters knocked the blaze down by 1:50 a.m.

Fire officials have requested cause investigators to the scene to determine what started the blaze.

No injuries were reported and it appeared the solo occupant of the home was able to evacuate with her dog in time before the fire spread.
