Auto Body Shop Fire Consumes Multiple Vehicles in Sherman Oaks

SHERMAN OAKS, LOS ANGELES, Mar. 20 (KNN) — An auto body repair and paint shop burned in Sherman Oaks Tuesday night destroying several vehicles within the structure.

The Los Angeles Fire Department was dispatched at 9:29 p.m. for a structure fire on the 15300 block of Dickens Street where arriving crews found a one-story building containing an automotive shop with heavy smoke showing.

Firefighters made access to the inside of the building and found multiple vehicles on fire.

The LAFD reported that it took 28 firefighters just 18 minutes to access, confine and extinguish the flames.

There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
