Auto Repair Shop Burns in Van Nuys

VAN NUYS, LOS ANGELES, Mar. 7 (KNN) — Firefighters battled flames consuming an auto repair shop overnight in Van Nuys.

The Los Angeles Fire Department was dispatched at 12:32 a.m. to the 7400 block of North Van Nuys Boulevard where arriving firefighters found a one-story commercial building with heavy fire showing through the roof.

The LAFD reported that it took 70 firefighters 25 minutes operating in defensive mode to extinguish the flames. There were no reported injuries.

Multiple loud pops and a roof collapse could be seen and heard on Key News Network video from the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
