Bicyclist Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Traffic Collision

HYDE PARK, LOS ANGELES, Oct. 5 (KNN) — A bicyclist was struck and killed in a hit-and-run traffic collision Wednesday night in the Hyde Park neighborhood within Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Southwest Division patrol units responded to a call of a vehicle versus bicyclist shortly after 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Vernon and 6th Avenues.

When units arrived on scene, they located the victim down in the street unresponsive.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department firefighter/paramedics.

There is no description at this time of the vehicle that fled the scene.

LAPD South Traffic is handling the investigation.
