Bicyclist Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Traffic Collision in Lennox

LENNOX, Calif., Jan. 11 (KNN) — A hit-and-run traffic collision left a bicyclist dead in a Lennox intersection late Wednesday night.

Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel and officers with California Highway Patrol’s West Los Angeles Office responded to a vehicle versus bicyclist around 11:41 p.m. at the intersection of Hawthorne and Lennox Boulevards.

When first responders arrived, they located the bicyclist down in the roadway. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by the LACoFD.

Witnesses reported seeing a red Dodge Ram truck strike the bicyclist before fleeing the scene.

CHP West L.A. is handling the investigation.
