Body Found on Bike Trail in Santa Clarita; Death Investigation Underway

SANTA CLARITA, Calif., Jan. 19 (KNN) — A body was discovered on a bike trail Friday morning in the area of Bouquet Canyon Road and Soledad Canyon Road in the city of Santa Clarita, prompting a death investigation by authorities.

Shortly before 9:18 a.m., a 911 caller reported finding someone unconscious and unresponsive in an area between a city bike trail and a bar parking lot east of Bouquet Canyon Road.

Firefighters, paramedics and EMTs responded to the scene with sheriff’s deputies. The person was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies are investigating the circumstances surrounding the person’s death.
